Sync a Spotify playlist to Qobuz — each track in its best version

· by the Hi Res Quest team

What it does. Hi Res Quest reads your Spotify playlist, finds each track on Qobuz by its ISRC code, picks for each the best authentic version available (the 24-bit confirmed by the edition, never an unconfirmed hi-res), creates the playlist on Qobuz and tells you, track by track, what it found. Spotify tops out at CD quality; Qobuz serves the same recording in 24-bit / 96 or 192 kHz for a large part of the catalogue — syncing is the moment to get it.

Real example from 6 September 2026, 20-track playlist (Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, Norah Jones, Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Daft Punk, Billie Eilish…): see the sync card by card.

How it works

  1. You connect Spotify (or paste your playlist export) and Qobuz. Hi Res Quest stores only ISRC codes, never your platform credentials.
  2. Each track is found by its ISRC — the recording identifier — then every edition of the same recording on Qobuz is compared: resolution, origin of the transfer, remaster, popularity.
  3. The card shows you two boxes: your version (Spotify’s, CD at best) and the version proposed on Qobuz. A pill says what we found when it needs saying: “possible upsample”, “no remaster found”, “unconfirmed label”.
  4. You choose: add all, replace all, leave all as they are, or decide track by track. Then “Sync” creates the playlist on Qobuz. Nothing is written without your click.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose my Spotify playlist?

No. Hi Res Quest reads Spotify, it writes nothing there. The playlist is created on Qobuz; the original stays intact.

Do I need a Qobuz subscription?

Yes, to listen to the created playlist. Every Qobuz Studio plan includes 24-bit; the price is on Qobuz’s official page.

Why do some tracks stay on CD?

Either Qobuz offers no confirmed higher edition, or the original recording is 16-bit and a “24-bit” edition would add nothing: Hi Res Quest keeps the version closest to the master and says so on the card.

What about the other way, from Qobuz to Spotify?

That is not what the tool is for: Spotify tops out at CD, syncing to Spotify could not improve anything.
