| Platform | Maximum resolution | True hi-res? | What it calls its top tier | Hi-res included? | In Hi Res Quest |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Qobuzofficial page | 24-bit / 192 kHzFLAC | yes | “Hi-Res 24-bit” (up to 192 kHz) | yes, every plan | audit source and sync destination |
| TIDALofficial page | 24-bit / 192 kHzFLAC (MQA retiré en 2024) | yes | “HiRes FLAC”; “High” = CD | yes, single tier | audit source and sync destination |
| Apple Musicofficial page | 24-bit / 192 kHzALAC | yes | “Hi-Res Lossless” (48–192 kHz); “Lossless” ≤ 48 kHz | yes; external DAC required above 48 kHz, never over Bluetooth | audit source (read); no sync to Apple |
| Amazon Music Unlimitedofficial page | 24-bit / 192 kHzFLAC | yes | “Ultra HD” (anything above CD, 24/44.1 included); “HD” = CD | yes, with Unlimited (not Prime) | coming (no public API) |
| Spotifyofficial page | 24-bit / 44,1 kHzFLAC | no — CD | “Lossless” = CD quality, not hi-res | no hi-res: CD ceiling | sync source (to Qobuz or TIDAL) |
| Deezerofficial page | 16-bit / 44,1 kHzFLAC | no — CD | “HiFi” = CD | no hi-res: CD ceiling | read only (public playlist link) |
Read this before comparing. The ceiling is theoretical: the file actually served depends on the edition, track by track — that is what the Hi Res Quest audit measures. The “Hi-Res Audio” label (JAS) starts at 24-bit / 96 kHz: a 24-bit / 44.1 kHz file is lossless, not hi-res. Spotify “Lossless” and Deezer “HiFi” = CD quality. On Apple Music, above 48 kHz you need an external DAC; nothing over Bluetooth. On Amazon, hi-res requires Music Unlimited, not the Prime tier.
